The VOUCH Sessions: Vaginas, Ovaries, Uteruses, Cycles & Herbs

  • Proud Lake State Rec Area 2700 Glengary Road Commerce Charter Township, MI, 48390 United States (map)

About the Workshop:

Join Erika for a two-day intensive exploring the physiological and energetic love affair between vaginas, ovaries, uteruses, cycles, and herbs. Using blind tea tastings and aroma as a framework for delving into the actions and energetics of some of Erika’s most beloved plant allies, we will be traversing their therapeutics from both clinical and personal perspectives.

The verb ‘to vouch’ can be defined as to ‘assert or confirm as a result of one's own experience that something is true or accurately so described.’ In this way, this intensive seeks inclusivity and the sharing of stories and experiences to enrich our collective understanding about the relationships between bodies and plants.

Erika honors the archetype of ‘the Feminine’, but not necessarily just as engendered or embodied notions of ‘female’. Rather, she approaches the archetype of the feminine as a worldview in healthcare and wellness that seeks to empower self-empathy and dismantle the pervading patriarchal approach that the body is something we should seek to ‘have power over’ by using ‘herbs to treat disease’. From Erika’s perspective, the feminine archetypal worldview of health also incorporates emotional and psychic experiences as key drivers of physical health.
