Join Erika Galentin, Medical Herbalist, Distiller, and Goethean Science researcher, for a three-day deep-dive workshop on connecting with nature and the plant kingdom through the practice of Goethean Plant Observation and Aromatic Distillation.
Participants will learn the essentials of aromatic distillation of essential oils and hydrosols using a traditional copper alembic still. The approach taken is experiential, employing Goethean and phenomenological methods. Such approaches can help enhance respectful and reciprocal relationships with the plant kingdom as well as the landscape that holds and nurtures it.
At the end of this three-day intensive participants will be able to:
distill aromatic plants for essential oils and hydrosols from start until finish using a copper alembic still
undertake hands-on aromatic plant harvesting with a focus on ethical and sustainable techniques
incorporate aromatherapy into your own self-care practice
take away a bottle of the esssence of the place
